CARDV Seeking New Executive Director

26 July 2010 | 8:52 am

CARDV is truly an exemplary Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault support services and social change organization. I am proud to join CARDV as we bridge the transition to a permanent new Executive Director who will lead us to a harmonious and healthy future.

In my role as Interim Executive Director, I regularly have the opportunity to work with the Board and Staff as they look to fill the primary leadership role in their organization. My background includes more than 30 years as a staff member, board member and leader in the domestic violence/sexual assault field.

I want to take this opportunity to let CARDV supporters know that this agency has a first-rate, professional staff that will ensure services continue smoothly and with the same high quality this community has come to expect. You should also know that the Board at CARDV is highly effective, takes their leadership and stewardship responsibilities very seriously, and is actively engaged in policy and fundraising work that has put CARDV in a very attractive position for a dynamic leader to take over with ease.

With all of that said, I am asking you to join us in reaching out to find a new leader with the skills and qualities that will support the CARDV mission, continue our community partnerships, and support and recognize the skills and talents of the Staff and Volunteers.

Do you know job seekers who can answer affirmatively the following questions?

· Are you an energetic and proven leader with the ability to guide us to a healthy future?

· Are you a supporter of feminism who knows how to trust and empower staff in pursuit of our mission?

· Can you commit to passionately and effectively building on the solid foundation of community partnerships we currently enjoy?

· Are you driven to smart, strategic decision making that results in successful program?

· Do you have a sense of humor?

· Are you grounded in mission-driven leadership that inspires and leads by example?

If you know a good candidate, please refer them to our website at www.cardvservices.org to further review our Executive Director job posting and application procedures. This recruitment closes on August 18, 2010.
