Holiday Drive a success!

Many thanks to the individuals and organizations that made the CARDV Holiday Open House program a wonderful success! Several donors mentioned they read about the program in an article in the Gazette Times or the Democrat Herald and were prompted to contribute. At the Open House, held on December 18th, parents chose gifts to give their children for the holidays. An abundance of gifts such as clothes for infants, toys for toddlers,

educational toys and games,

sports equipment, scooters and skate boards (complete with helmets and protective gear), scarves, hats and gloves for moms, art supplies and many, many more items filled the CARDV office turned “Holiday Store”. More than 30 families with 81 children who sought shelter and support this past holiday season participated in CARDV’s Open House program. Participants expressed their deep gratitude and encouragement at the show of support by the community rallying around them to make this holiday a memorable one. All of us at CARDV are proud to be part of a community that leaves no one behind and digs deep, even in these current times, to care for these members of our community. Thank you to all those who helped brighten the holidays!
