‘Let it Be,’ Pink Floyd were tuneful success

The Beatles at Oregon State University concerts were remarkable concert performance by some of the best musicians in town. Nineteen musicians and vocalists gathered to recreate Pink Floyd’s “Animals” and the Beatles “Let it Be” with precision and panache.
These two concerts, on April 24 and May 1, were the most sought-out events of their weekends and also were fundraisers for CARDV!

Heartfelt thanks to Bill Cowell, event organizer, keyboards, sax, sound effects, Noah Stroup, vocals and guitar, and Justin Gibson, vocals and lead guitarist, as well as all the members of the band, who donated their time and talent to this event. (See www.beatlesatosu.org for complete list.) Their generosity is inspiring and appreciated. Thank you to event sponsors, OSU Women’s Center, Music Department, and Department of Animal Sciences. And thank you to all the community members who attended for your generosity when volunteers passed the hat at intermission.
