Volunteer for CARDV
Dear Potential Volunteer,
Thank you for your interest in the Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence Volunteer Advocacy Program. Click here for an application packet with volunteer job descriptions and application questions.
CARDV requires an intensive training program for volunteers who will be working in our administrative office or directly with clients. The training takes place over five weeks and covers a wide variety of topics related to domestic and sexual violence. Trainings typically take place two times per year. We ask volunteers for a commitment of, at minimum, eight hours per month for a period of six months following the successful completion of training.
The cost of the advocacy training is $35.00; $10.00 covers the cost of a background check through Oregon State Police and $25.00 covers material costs. The $10.00 fee may be waived in some circumstances. Please be prepared to cover this by the first night of training.
You can mail the completed application materials to CARDV, PO Box 914, Corvallis, Oregon 97339 or deliver the packet to the CARDV Administrative Office located at 4786 SW Philomath Blvd. in Corvallis. A member of our staff will contact you to schedule an interview once your application materials are received and reviewed. We look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
The CARDV Staff
